National Director, Customer Experience & Marketing
As Director of Customer Experience and Marketing, Salim combines strong business acumen, dynamic leadership skills and strategic vision to create opportunities that help the company grow. Since joining Westburne in 2015, Salim has been the catalyst of various initiatives that have influenced positive change at all levels of the organization. He is on a personal mission for Westburne to win over the hearts and minds of their customers.
Prior to Westburne, Salim worked for TELUS, Bell and CP Rail in B2B marketing, strategy and operations in a number of leadership roles. He is a proven leader with extensive experience working directly with sales channels, building multiple top-performing teams, and leading many large scale company re-organizations.
A self-described geek, Salim loves asking questions and learning how everything works. Described by his teams as a great leader with a coaching style that inspires trust and bonding among team members; Salim has a unique ability to find humor in all situations and uses it cleverly to motivate his team, build trust and make work fun. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. When he’s not at work, Salim enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two young children. He also does volunteer work as a National Board Member on the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board for Canada.
